on the Western side of the Pilanesberg Nature reserve. The Pilanesberg is a Big 5, eco-tourism area which is malaria free. You have a combination of rolling hills, valleys, grassland plains and Tamboti forests. The Pilanesberg National Park is in the Bojanala Region of the North West Province.
The crater of a long extinct volcano is the setting of the Pilanesberg National Park, a fascinating alkaline complex produced by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago. Pilanesberg is one of the largest volcanic complexes of its kind in the world. Its rare rock types and structure make it a unique geological feature. For those looking for a bit more action like golf, live entertainment & Valley of the Waves, Sun City is a 20 minute drive from Black Rhino.
ACCOMMODATION DESCRIPTION
This lodge is 800sqm in size.
It consists of an open plan main entertainment building that includes a dining room for 10 guests, an internal braai, fully equipped kitchen, a scullery with upmarket appliances (w/m, t/d, d/w), a breakfast nook, a lounge with plasma screen, dstv and dvd player with surround sound. It also has a state of the art bar with a pool table. This building is fully air-conditioned. The outside area you have an undercover patio with table and chairs for 10, an open air boma with braai, a refreshing pool sunk into the wooden deck and an intimate jacuzzi.
This lodge has 4 separate sleeping chalets and is linked to the main entertainment building with walkways. The sleeping chalets each have double beds with a loft bedroom with 2 single beds each. Thus it can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests taking into consideration the loft bedrooms which are mainly for the children. These 4 chalets have their own full en-suite bathrooms. The oval stone bath and an outside shower are sure to impress. These sleeping chalets each have a bar fridge and coffee/tea facilities and are all fully air-conditioned. Each bedroom also features a cosy fireplace and a private patio.
There is an undercover parking area for 4 vehicles. You have your own game ranger and home attendant at your disposal. They stay in the staff quarter on-site. You also have your own game drive vehicle at your disposal.

Because Black Rhino Reserve is situated in the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve, the daily standard park fees are payable.

Kids 6-11 R30.00 per child, per day
Adults 12-59 R80.00 per adult, per day
Pensioners 60 upwards R40.00 per pensioner, per day
• Game Drives are being charged between R8 per kilometre depending on lodge. It is expected that each visitor must sign the game drive vehicle logbook’s opening and closing balance in conjunction with the game ranger. Should this be a swapped week this fee will be billed to your levy account. If you rent this property, this fee will be additional to your daily rate and will be deducted of your deposit.
• It would be appreciated to tip the Game Ranger and the Home Attendant. This fee should be paid directly to them during your stay.
• Wood & Blitz will be charged for, between R25.00 / R15.00 respectively, depending which lodge you will be occupying.
