The Hibiscus coast is well renowned for its golden beaches, rocky coves, sunny weather and warm tropical climate. Several beaches have International ‘Blue Flag’ status. For the golfer South Africa’s top golf courses are on the South Coast e.g Southbroom and The Wild Coast Sun who also has tenpin bowling, water sports, or maybe try your luck at the one arm bandits. If you want to commune with nature and hike, visit the Umtamvuna Nature Reserve with its abundance of plants. Clearwater Trails have plenty of mountain bike trails for every level of enthusiast. Each June/July ‘The Greatest Shoal on Earth’ or ‘Sardine Run’ comes along our shores. Millions of sardines migrate up the coast, accompanied by dolphins and other large fish and thousands of sea birds which feed on them. If you are an adrenalin junkie Oribi Gorge is the place to be, they offer abseiling or go on the cable-slide. After all the hard work, why not have a pancake at Mac Banana or Coffee at the Beaver Creek Coffee Farm or a waffle at The Waffle House. If you are in the mood for movies, shopping or dining out The Shelley Centre has it all. Alternatively just chill out at the complex swimming pool.
