Sun City Vacation Club has become one of South Africa’s best loved & best reviewed resort accommodation. ‘RnR’ has a selection of excellent value vacation club rentals:
Timeshare weeks run from a Friday to Friday. Clients can rent either the following periods:
– 7 night stay from a Friday to Friday
– 3 night weekend from a Friday – Monday
– 4 night midweek from a Monday – Friday
There are 2 different size self catering units:
2 Bedroom / 6 sleepers – from R 3250 per night to R 6500 per night depending on the season
3 Bedroom / 8 sleepers – from R 3950 per night to R 8500 per night depending on the season
The 2 bedroom / 6 sleeper apartments are found in both Phase 1 and Phase 2.
Phase 2 is now called The Aviary and Phase 1 is The Reserve
The Aviary (Phase 2) units are approx 124sqm whereas Phase 1 are approx 74sqm. The Reserve (Phase 1) units have undergone a complete revamp whereas the Phase 2 units have only had a soft refurb.

Reopening of Sun Vacation Club
As announced by the President of South Africa, inter-provincial travel is now permitted under the Level 2 lockdown period. Following this announcement, we are pleased to announce that Sun Vacation Club (SVC) Sun City Resort will resume operations from Thursday, 03 September 2020.
The Resort will be adhering to all the regulated COVID 19 protocols and we request all members to adhere to these protocols whilst at the Sun City Resort.
Please note the following protocols that will be applied at SVC:
* All guests are to wear their cloth masks in public areas during their stay at SVC, as per COVID 19 protocols.
* All members are requested to please maintain social distancing during the check-in process and adhere to the signage in place across the Resort.
* All SVC units will be deep cleaned on a Monday and Friday.
* Daily housekeeping will be available during your stay; however this service will only be available upon request.
Extra dishwashing tablets and bin bags will be provided daily to each unit for own use.
* Linen and bathroom towels will only be changed upon request during your stay.
* Social distancing will be applied in the pool areas and all SVC guests will be required to wear their residential tags in order to access the SVC pool areas.
* No late checkout will be permitted as units need to be deep cleaned and sanitised before the next check-in takes place. Strict penalties and an amount of R2,000 will be applied against the member’s levy account should the member or their guests fail to adhere to the 10:00am checkout time.

Vacation club accommodation is the ideal choice for families who want the relaxation and leisure of a holiday, with the comforts of home. These self-catering accommodation options are nestled within the Sun City Resort and offers access to all the facilities and amenities of the casino, hotels and entertainments areas. The Sun City Vacation Club is situated adjacent to the malaria-free Pilanesberg National Park, where the big 5 roam free.
The compact kitchen is practical yet luxuriously designed; with every conceivable appliance at your fingertips. The lounge area offers a uniquely designed sofa able to accommodate sleeping space for another 2 people. The resort features 184 x 2 bedroom units and 50 x 3 bedroom room units.
The units are serviced daily apart from a Wednesday

I googled for Sun city accommodation at last minutes of festive and found the RNR company, immediately called the company spoke to Ms Erin and she told me she will check the availability as like I said it was last minutes..OMG I got email about the fair rated amount for Theeee Sun City for Christmas imagine , at Sun city they told me they trust the RNR company as thier bookings are genuine..
My kids were over the moon exploring Sun city ,NB when we Normally go to Sun city it’s for Valley of Waves but this time..they really explored it …their content on social was hype..

The unit was in close proximity to the bus and both swimming pools which was convenient. The air conditioners in each room were a blessing in the heat. The unit was modern, upmarket and looked brand new. The block out curtains prevented the sun from streaming in, in the early morning, however the 3 resident peacocks had other ideas waking us up at 5.30am.

Both staff at Sun City and Dominique from RNR were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting in all that they did.

There were a few flaws/maintenance problems in unit 166 Elephant which we reported :
Loose Toilet seat
Aircon wall bracket broken
Leak at sink or dishwasher
main bathroom bath handle loose/broken
cupboard door below sink hanging on 1 hinge only
unit 167 no braai tongs
Above how ever did not have any effect on our comfort and pleasure during our stay

ensuite bathroom – shower door was removed and the bathroom had a really stuff smell that we actually did use this bathroom often

Had a great stay and if we had any problems then we reported it and it was fixed or attended to. It was busy but during this time of the year its what to be expected. Considering the volume of people I am convinced that they did very well. So many thing to do and see for all different age groups.

Great Easter break – from booking to the stay. Would have preferred unit closer to the centre, but small issue. Overall, a good family break for the entire family.
Ejoyed it very much. Just feel the security guard and his dog does not have to walk around in the face where we braai all the time. Every 5 minutes he is there and disturb our privacy…

Toilet flusher was not working. Broken continuously. Remote in main bedroom did not work for airconditioner. room was not ready at 2.00pm. When you have travelled all the way from Port Elizabeth to wait for your room. Drivers not friendly. Only friendly towards palace residents.
Very very disappointed. I have been to Sun City 13 times and my son got engaged at the palace. It is possibley my last time.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay. It was disappointing that the Entertainment Centre was closed for renovations but we still had a great timie.
A lot of lights are not working globes are dead. Fan fell out of the roof could not be used reported it but nobody repaired. Maintenance needs to be jacked up.

The unit was comfortable. We had a great stay. Checking in was a problem. Very long line. Bathroom sinks and showers were clogging. Cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. No aircon in lounge makes it uncomfortable for the person sleeping on the couch.

Overall our experience was great. The only thing we were uncomfortable with was the sheets were dirty and we had to ask for clean ones. We also didn’t like the fact that we found cockroaches in our suitcases.

Only criticism was that the bus shuttle service was taking much too long, sometimes as much as 25 minutes. An air conditioner in the lounge/dining area would really add the cherry on top . Overall an awesome experience and would definitely book again

Kitchen Unit & Utensils not very clean & cupboards have a wet smell.
Aircon in Main bedroom froze up every day. DSTV gave problems on a daily basis. Various globes in the unit have blown but were not replaced.
Terrible. very noisy and we found it impossible to sleep. Beds were also very uncomfortable Sun city is also not comparable to what it was the last time with visited overrun and dirty. We came home a day early as we could not do another night without sleep.
Service from Karen was first class. very professional and helpful.
Just a few things needed maintenance in the house like cupboard door handles, kitchen globe replacement,couldn’t get the refrigerator to get colder. But, I would like to thank Tebogo(the consultant) who helped me get accommodation at such short notice. Very patient young man.

Played golf at Lost City on the Friday and it really put a damper on my holiday. Luckily the comfort made up for it. 12 holes took 5 hours with lots of drunken people of the course with NO marshals anywhere in sight. As per the course manager, it is a holiday course there is nothing they can do about it.
I will only suggest an aircon in the lounge suite or a better roof fan. It is very hot in the living area.

The lounge is very cold in winter as it has tiles, they should consider having aircon as they do in the bedrooms in the lounge.
Great apartment, very well maintained and well stocked. Clean, modern and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Only issue, couldn’t get a hairdryer as not stocked in the room and reception had none left.
Very efficient, kept me in the loop and s very quick to respond to my queries.
The stay was great, but we did have problem with the sliding door falling out the rails. Maintenance only came to fix it the next day despite logging 2 calls.

Unit was lovely, but lots of external noise. When you are on holiday, you do not want to be woken up at 6am because of trucks, etc passing by. On 2 occasions people from other units were making a noise past 11h30pm. Units are cold and lots of external noise. Don’t think I will be back in a hurry.
Should have asked where would like to be located and a bit more detail should be provided about the units.
Accommodation was cramped for 5 adults and 1 child but we managed for 4 nights. We were also told not to leave windows open due to the monkeys so found it a bit stuffy. Otherwise the units are tastefully redone and we had an enjoyable time. Can they ‘monkey proof’ the units?
Only one critisism: The floor of the shower in the main en-suite needs looking at. The water does not drain out – floor needs to be slanted.
