Zebula 4 bedroom holiday home – sleeps 12 – IDJ01
Incorporate in this lodge is 4 bedrooms with full en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom has it’s own patio. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms on the first floor. The 2 bottom bedrooms also have outside showers. 2 of the bedrooms each have a double bed and the other 2 have 2 x single beds each. The top bedrooms each have a loft bedroom with 2 single beds each, which can serve as family rooms. Thus the lodge can sleep 12 people taking into account the loft bedrooms which are mainly for kids. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned.

Homes are designed in Balinese decor. The pictures of the actual houses will vary to those on the website depending on which home is confirmed at time of booking.

On the ground floor there is an open plan living area that includes a dining room for 12 people, fully equipped kitchen with upmarket appliances, a scullery with upmarket appliances (w/m, t/d, d/w), a lounge with plasma screen, dstv and dvd player with surround sound. A cosy fireplace divides the dining room and the lounge. There is also a guest bathroom for this open plan living area. When you exit the lounge through the fold-away stacking doors you have an undercover patio with built-in braai and a refreshing swimming pool. There is also a covered lapa as well as a bar area.
Clients to take their own wood
On the first floor there is a games room with a pool table and a fire place. When you exit the games room towards the outside there is an open-air wooden deck which you can admire the view from your own lodge. Better even, there is a covered Jacuzzi situated on the upper level.
There is undercover paring for 4 vehicles.

Zebula Country Club and Spa is situated 1½ hours north of Pretoria in the Limpopo province, and covers 1700 hectares of “malaria free” true African Bushveld. The reserve boasts over 800 animals and is home to over 20 species of African mammals such as Giraffe, Zebra, Eland, Kudu, Gemsbok, Nyala, Impala, Red Hartebees, Blue Wildebeest, Warthog and Bushpig.
The renowned Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, adjacent to Zebula, encompasses just over 12 000 hectares of African Bushveld, and proudly hosts “The Big 5”. Zebula is interlinked with the Nature Reserve and home owners can traverse on the western side of this famous reserve.
Zebula is a bird watcher’s paradise, with in excess of over 250 species of birds. The golf course, 10 dams and Bird Sanctuary, which encompasses a marsh land area with two islands, all add to the natural habitat and attract additional bird species to the reserve. Four elevated bird hides are erected adjacent to the Python Dam (over six hectares of surface water) which will enhance your birding experience. Species include the Secretary Bird, Martial Eagle, African Fish Eagle, Brown Snake Eagle, Ostriches, Plovers, Pied Kingfisher, Ducks and Geese and many more.
The famous 5 star golf course was developed by well-known Peter Matkovich and was built to US PGA specifications. It includes a practice facility with five target greens, bunkers and four practice greens. The course was also voted the best new golf course in South Africa during 2004 by Golf Digest. As the course is not affected by the winter frost, it remains green throughout the year. Home owners may obtain golf membership at a minimum yearly fee.

Thanks to Dominique who assisted us with our booking. She always answered our mails promptly and we were always kept up to date with the arrangements.
Dom from RnR service is always phenomenal- I have been working with her for about 5 years, always efficient and helpful and will go out of her way to assist and find the most suitable house for a holiday and will work miracles when it comes to securing dates.
The house was well equipped , clean and comfortable- we made use of the 4 bedrooms and lofts- the one loft may be a bit tricky for kids as the bed height is the same as the wall height so an active sleeper may fall off and there are also plumbing pipes that stick out.
Cleaning service was great and came in all days.
Great facilities with a clean pool and jacuzzi that was refilled for our visit.
Nice separate boba area with tv for entertainment.

The house was well equipped and well located and we appreciated that it had a generator to accommodate the loadshedding power cuts. An unintended issue was the replacement of the twin beds in the lofts with double beds by the owner without warning which meant that small children in our group had to share the beds with parents. The overall experience was however good. It was a pleasant house to stay in. Perhaps consider providing Wi-Fi in the future as cell phone reception was not great in the area. We enjoyed out stay and can recommend the house in the future.
The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I would rate Dominique 10/10 for her service (from booking the place to being at the place – she was always available when you need her)

The house was great no complaints, it does however require a bit of TLC in the maintenance department, e.g. the banisters need to be tightened and a few touch ups, the main tightening cord on the pool net needs replacing.
But in general a great house. We had an excellent weekend.

The beds should be king size beds and it should clearly stated that the lofts are very high up and only suitable for bigger kids.

We had load shedding and unfortunately the generator was faulty so we had no electricity on Saturday from around 17h00 until 22h00. The property manager was always available when you needed him. Big ups for Shelton. Generally we were happy with the place. It is a beautiful house.

We really had a great time me and my friend, we would definitely go back next time. Zebula its a very nice place, peaceful and full of tranquillity. The only set back we had was the sliding doors of the house we were staying at, they were stiff(very had to open or close) and we could not even open the other one. We had a nice time.

When we got to the property we were unable to unlock the key safe as the code provided was incorrect. With tired travelers and unhappy baby we tried for most of an hour to get assistance only to be told that reception is not responsible for private homes and the after hours number provided on our booking sheet did not help as the phone was switched off. We by some miracle tried all sorts of numbers and it finally just opened.
I am also not sure if my expectations were a bit high but I just felt the unit needed a bit of some TLC and a good clean. Everything was dusty and the floors were not clean and neither were the carpets.
A lady did come in both morning but perhaps she should come after8am especially on the Sunday as we were trying to pack and have breakfast while she was trying to clean. Also weekends you usually like to have a lazy morning

The home was beautiful and neat, i did not appreciate that the jaccuzzi could not warm/heat up, i called Monica and the problem could not be resolved. Other than that, we had a great stay.
Some plugs were not working at some point, and the electricity kept tripping (even in the afternoon).
Please note that the only breakage that happened was with 2 glasses, so I’d expect to get 99.9 % of my refund.

Great home! A few teething things to get the key and unlock outside TV, but the Shelton, the onsite manager was absolutely awesome and went the extra mile to help us out.

The service at Zebula were excellent! The condition of the golf coarse is very good, and with beautiful surroundings. We have enjoyed the spa as well. The house is beautiful.
I had no problems when we arrived or any confusion on our bookings or at reception. I believe this is because of the arrangements made by My Holiday Homes.
The home is very beautiful. However some maintenance is required. The outside showerhead in the right bottom bedroom doesn’t work. It restricts the flow of water. Overall waterpressure within the house is low. And lastly there is alot of Ants in the main house(Lounge, Kitchen and Bedrooms). We found alot of dust within the bathroom tubs and the shower doors could have been cleaned better. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.
Happy with the overall service. Karen made an effort to find me alternative accomodation when the original unit we wanted was burgled.

Lodge clean on arrival but not a great job done on the Saturday. Also felt that when we tried to engage a cleaner for Sunday the supervisor was not very co operative. The freezer compartment of the fridge/freezer in the scullery did not work and we had to constantly mop up water which leaked from it. which was exceedingly annoying. Also the bedroom door to one of the main suites downstairs kept on jamming making it difficult to gain access either in or out. My grandson became trapped in the room which caused great panic and a lot of effort to free him.

Fantastic accommodation, layout and amenities to notch. Bedding and pillows need upgrading. Golf cards tires need to be replaced. One of the best places we have stayed.

Overall a great experience, units are being neglected though in terms of maintenance. Unit 92 hade a sewer problem that was not attended to after informing the maintenance team.

The accomodation was nice except for the loft beds we were very dissapointed because it was not easy for an adult to climb up there. The steps were at a 90 degrees position. Also the 7 bags of wood that we were told that we would find was n ot there.
